8 months ago I rented my first apartment in the condo development Gateway Village. I was so excited to get a taste of the “big city” living (a major life dream) without having to leave Murfreesboro. Go figure? The luxe amenities and great bones made my new pad a dream come true!
I started decorating almost immediately and quickly figured out I needed to pace myself before I purchased. As a single girl, my budget was always on the brain; but having a great neutral couch and side chairs made this a bit easier.
My vision when moving into the condo was to create a feminine oasis. I focused on accessories with different fabrics and textures. I did a lot just by mixing metal with my lime washed wood furnishings and faux fur pillows. I loved the contrast and when I added a pop of color with fresh flowers and candles it instantly gave the soft base personality.
As a first time renter, I did have a learning curve with the “no hang items on the wall”. However, I love canvas art, so I opted to lean some of my old pieces on the wall and it worked just fine.
